Foundrax Engineering staff gathered at Haynes Motor Museum recently for a hotly-contested session of Go-Karting. The Museum organises the sessions to create the feel of conventional motor racing, with five-car heats, quarter-finals, semi-finals etc, electronic timing, a leader board and a prize-giving ceremony.
The day out celebrated what MD Alex Austin described as “finally getting the team of people I’d always wanted”.
After a ferocious contest, Alex himself emerged triumphant (nobody let him win, that’s for sure!) by what he described as “a truly enormous margin”*, with Jamie Osborne (technician) and Will Buckmaster (engineer) in second and third place.
Karting was followed by lunch in ‘At the Chapel’, the very popular Bruton venue, then further refreshment at The Sun Inn, across the road.
