Services and Training (including after-sales support)
Calibration, Service, Repair and Overhaul
Foundrax has a dedicated team of engineers to keep your Brinell hardness testing equipment working in the toughest industrial conditions, year-in-year-out, exactly as it was designed to do. We can structure service and calibration programmes to suit individual customers' requirements; ensuring all equipment has total through-life support. Static heavy duty production, standard production and bench-top machines can all be serviced at customers' premises, minimising down-time, and we offer loan equipment to customers whose equipment has to be serviced here at Foundrax. Our servicing capability covers all types of portable hydraulic test head. Certificates of calibration from our UKAS-accredited laboratory are supplied as standard.
We also offer limited, sub-contract testing of a customer’s components either on site or at our works. Please contact us for details.

NEW! Equipment Support Contracts
Protect your equipment with one of our new support packages: Starting with the BRINtronic we are rolling out support packages for our hardness testing equipment. Watch this space for further developments.
Technical Support
Foundrax has a wealth of technical expertise when it comes to Brinell hardness testing; encompassing both the shop floor and the laboratory. If you have a technical question about your Brinell requirements please let us know; we will undoubtedly be able to help. Foundrax products are sold and supported all over the world (either directly or through our global network of agents) and we take great care to provide the technical support you need. Through our decades of experience in hardness testing, our membership of international committees and our many academic contacts, we can provide the answer to any question, whether practical or theoretical.
Training
We offer structured training - covering the theory and method of the Brinell hardness test - over half a day (for up to five people) or a whole day (for larger groups). Training covers the use of portable and static Brinell hardness testers as well as surface preparation and indentation measurement (and the sometimes overlooked hazards and pitfalls of manual measurement). Training is provided by our expert staff either at Foundrax or at your site and includes course materials as well as a certificate for each operator showing that the course has been completed.
International Service
Foundrax has been handling international contracts since 1948 and installing and maintaining complex, fully-automated, in-line hardness testing equipment (often with handling gear) at customers' sites since 1983.
We provide international customers with a maintenance and verification service that is structured around an understanding of productivity needs and the need to minimize downtime. We will send engineers to your site to undertake maintenance or alternatively arrange for either your engineer, our local agent or a third party service agent to be trained in maintenance of the machine. We can supply manuals and software translated into local languages.
Agents
Foundrax has a network of international agents to provide service to customers Worldwide. Normally they will advise on your machinery needs and will make sure that either you, themselves or a third-party agent is properly qualified to operate and maintain the equipment. If you are outside the UK and would like to be put in touch with a local agent, please contact us. Foundrax's agency network continues to expand: If you would like to learn about potentially becoming one, please contact us.
