Calibration, Service and Repair

Foundrax have a dedicated team of engineers hard at work to keep your Brinell hardness testing equipment working in the toughest industrial conditions.

If you have a service and calibration requirement let us know and we will structure a program to suit.

We are able to offer both on and off site calibration of machines as well continued support for our own equipment.

We also offer limited sub-contract testing of a customer’s components either at customer site or at our works, please contact us to ask for details.


We offer structured training covering the theory and method of the Brinell hardness test over half a day for up to five people or a whole day for larger groups.

Training covers the use of portable and static Brinell hardness testers as well as surface preparation and indentation measurement.

Training is provided by our expert staff either at Foundrax or at your site and includes course materials as well as a certificate for each operator showing they have undertaken

the training course.

Foundrax in Asia

Chinese sales are handled by our sister company – Foundrax Beijing. Our main Chinese office is located in Beijing and we have a sales network across China.

All Foundrax equipment is manufactured, checked, calibrated and UKAS certified at our UK headquarters in Somerton, Somerset.

International Service

Foundrax has been handling international contracts since 1948.

We have been installing and maintaining complex fully-automated in-line hardness testing equipment, often with handling gear, at customer’s sites since 1983.

We have built, installed and commissioned several Primary National Standards.

We provide international customers a maintenance and verification service that is structured around an understanding of productivity needs and to minimize downtime. We will send Engineers to your site to undertake maintenance or alternatively arrange for either your engineer, our local agent or a third party service agent to be trained in maintenance of the machine. We can deliver manuals and software translated into local languages for effective operation.

Foundrax have a wealth of technical expertise when it comes to Brinell hardness testing and very many years of both shop floor and laboratory experience.
